SATA Cable Assembly

If your company is responsible for the construction of data centers, management of cloud server architecture, or building custom gaming PCs, you will likely run into problems with sourcing RAM, GPUs, and other computer components that have limited supply. However, you may also run into issues with supply of highly specific cable types, or need to upgrade the cables you’re using if they are having frequent failures.

This is especially relevant for data centers where thousands of motherboards and GPUs need to be connected together and operating 24/7 without interruption. Technical Cable Applications can provide OEM bulk SATA data cable assembly orders in the standard sizes and configurations you need, or custom SATA cable assemblies for unusual configurations, or high stress environments.

Industrial Motherboard Data Assembly

The most commonly used SATA wire type for connecting motherboards to storage devices is SATA 3.0, which has a maximum 6 gigabytes per second data transfer speed and is sufficient for most data center and custom PC needs. With modern storage devices being incredibly fast compared to old disc drive styles, there’s no room for the slower speeds of SATA 2.0 or older SATA cable types in most scenarios. There are newer types all the way up to 3.5 which became available in 2021, and offers additional performance benefits, but the 3.0 family overall is by far the most used over older types like 2.0, and the predecessor PATA which is a relic of the past.

We can manufacture SATA cable assemblies and the appropriate power connectors as needed, since the amount of voltage each cable supports can vary from 3.3, to 5, to 12 volts. We also can produce your SATA harness and cable wire with unusual configurations and angles, or with connections to other types of cables: just provide your wire assembly drawing so we can give you a quote.

Internal Data Cable Assemblies

Technical Cable Applications provides an extremely wide range of power, data transfer, computer, and electronic cable assemblies and connector harness types. With our ISO 9001:2015 certification and UL certification for the United States and Canada, we are highly qualified to meet your quality standards while helping drive down costs wherever possible.

We’ve been operating our cable manufacturing company since 2002, but have greatly increased our capacity since then and become one of the premier custom and OEM cable manufacturers in the United States. We even now partner with two facilities in Guadalajara, which allow us to offer nearshore manufacturing for many items that previously required overseas shipping to obtain.
